Experienced, enthusiastic, positive Trainers and Instructors

Our trainers and instructors have years of experience helping horses and riders. We focus on clear, supportive instruction that will help you improve your riding skills and reach your riding goals. Our trainers provide professional schooling for all our horses and are experienced in bringing along young horses, preparing horses and ponies for the show ring and providing a variety of exercises to keep both horse and rider eager and focused.

Tricia Moss, Head Trainer and Rider

Tricia Moss

Tricia Moss is an accomplished rider and sought-after instructor for children and adults. She is known for her refreshing attitude, positive teaching style, and ability to produce winners! As an amateur, Tricia rode with Carl Catani, respected horseman and USEF judge, and went on to work for Catani at Riverwind Farm. While earning a Bachelor's Degree in Equine Science from Mount Ida College, she was the 3rd ranked Intercollegiate Rider in the country. She then coached the Intercollegiate Team for 2 years following graduation.

The past few years have been spent developing Esterbrook Farm into a top "A" circuit barn. Tricia is proud of the many hunter ring tricolors she and her students have earned at top shows, such as Saratoga, Vermont, HITS (Ocala and Saugerties), in both the professional and junior divisions. Her most recent accomplishments in the new and exciting Derby divisions include top 10 placings at the Fieldstone Derby. In the Equitation Ring, Tricia's students have qualified for and placed well at all of the local medal finals, the regional Maclay finals and the national Maclay and USEF medal finals. In 2010 Tricia was the recipient of the Fieldstone Farm Trainer's award.

In addition to riding and training, Tricia specializes in selecting and developing young horses for sale. She has a rich network of equine professionals with whom she works. Over the years she has successfully bought, sold, and leased horses and ponies to meet the needs of a variety of clients.

Tricia lives in Wilmington, Massachusetts with her husband Justin and small dog Lena.
